Bypass factor

  1. The ratio of air which remain unaffected by the coil to the total air quantity passing over the coil.
  2. The amount of air which des not contact the cooling coil to the amount of supply air.
  3. It depends on number of rows of coil, air velocity and fins.
  4. lesser the number of rows, higher the by pass factor.
  5. Higher the number of rows, lower the bypass factor.
  6. Higher velocity, higher bypass factor.
  7. Lower velocity, lower bypass factor.
