Air handling unit (AHU) working principle in hindi

It is a device used to circulate air as a part of a heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system.

Parts:

1. Air Filter
2. Cooling Coil
3. Blower
4. Supply air duct
5. Return air duct
6. Fresh air duct
7. Damper

Working Principle:

When blower starts, it extracts air through fresh air duct & exhaust air duct and it passes through the air filter which helps to remove dust particles from the air. After that, it passes through the cooling coil, and the air gets cooled. This cooling air supplies through supply duct to the room with the help of a blower.

In each duct, the damper is installed to control the airflow.

In AHU, one mixer chamber is there where returned air and fresh air mix together.

Fresh air will help to improve the oxygen level.

One Exhaust duct is connected with the return air duct, which helps to remove the smoke and bad odour from the conditioned room if any smoke and bad odour exist.
